Voltaic

Returning to the Mound he had heard of, he saught solace after being removed from his old clan and his old charge. It broke him in half to be away from Mercury, so he thought the break might do him good. Only for him to run intro trouble once more with Noir. He had thought he had died, yet here he was. Green and Purple scales and all. He couldn't remember, but something about that Guardian triggered a very old memory. He had raised this boy. But the scowl on Noir's face said otherwise.
He saught a new identity and went to a witch, who could change his appearance. new life, new you. His scales changed from a spring and violet, to a light pink and yellow wings. He felt better, but there was still conflict with Noir.



Voltaic, better known as Vee, had never considered himself courageous. But when his Charge suddenly walked out of the lair, walked out of the Great Furnace, he knew he had to follow. It was his duty, he knew, even though it meant leaving everyone he'd ever loved in Clan Rosary behind. He tried to push Mercuryback, tried to trip him and throw nets... but in the end he couldn't bear to hurt Mercury just to keep him there. One by one, Vee stripped himself of every piece of apparel he'd ever had. And they walked.

"Low Power," Mercury kept repeating. He was headed for the Shifting Expanse. Vee gladly gave him the last of his own magic reserves, but it wasn't enough for a long term solution.

Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, the only clan willing to help them for free was Clan AXQU. So Vee took Mercury inside, and allowed their engineer to put in a new motor. Saving him, to Vee's mind. And it was good, for a time... until Vee learned that Clan AXQU considered themselves the owner of Mercury's new motor, and that Mercury had to stay.

Vee grew to like it here, after a time. He and Mercury guard the entrance to the lair, which Mercury seems more than happy to do. Watching the monitors is an honorable if boring job. He's made fast friends with Haruko, who could be a long-lost brother. Vee is still a little childish... and while he wants to make the best of his time here, he can't quite shake the feeling of being duped.

But he's finding new friends... and Mercury seems entirely disinclined to leave. And after a few months, and after trying to rescue Mercury from this new clan... Voltaic was booted out for "theft." Ripped from his charge, he struggles to find his identity in the aftermath...

Spring Tiger/ Violet Stripes/ Grey Basic.

Hatched in the laboratories on the day everyone worked themselves to death. The egg he was contained in was being tested for flaws, and luckily for him, MBoss had found him and was there when he hatched. Staring up, he was in awe in her presence, but then she turned and left. Mewling, he pursued her and remains at her ankles at most times.

As a child he was quiet and skittish, he was the very definition of a scaredy cat. He often stares for long times on end, and has a tenancy to knead the ground when anxious. He responds to the name “Vee” , although it was MBoss who named him “Voltaic” after one of the scientists who had fallen that day.
