______ Sahara is an archeologist in the Dragonhome Preservation Guild, traveling the width and breath of Sornieth to uncover ancient history and priceless artifacts. Her specialty is in the Second Age, where what little she and other archeologists have found that withstood the test of time tell a story of a civilization of an unknown race, before dragon and Beastclan both. The very thought of it gets her blood pumping: who were they? What did they look like? What calamitous event took place that wiped out their entire civilization? All of these questions and more burn in her and her fellows’ souls, but so far, any answers have been few and far between.

______ The Mirror actually met her future mate, Amaranth, on a dig site in the Sunbeam Ruins. The shadow-born Fae was in a heated argument with several of the light-born managing the site; apparently, they weren’t letting him through to do his job because they were ‘concerned he was yet another shadow flight assassin’. Honestly. Sahara rallied her coworkers and managed to bully the Light Flight dragons in charge of the site into, you know, actually letting an employee in. Turns out, the dragon’s name was Amaranth, and he was the professional photographer hired to document their findings at the site.

______ At first, it was just a professional relationship between coworkers. The two finished their work together before moving on. But then they ran into each other at another dig site, and then another; their friendship deepening into love. And Sahara has found that the eggs they’re so carefully incubating are more priceless than any treasured artifact she’s ever discovered.

______ Sahara’s familiar, Probius, was well worth every penny spent to buy him. When there are places she can’t safely reach to excavate, or crevasses from collapsed earth blocking the way to hidden secrets, she sends Probius out to navigate it. His job is to let her know what’s beyond there, whether it’s a useless dead end, a continuation of the ruin she’s examining, or more. He’s absolutely invaluable to her work, and Sahara makes sure he knows it.
