Gualtiero hailed from the frigid floes in the Southern Icefields, but feeling the need for adventure and freedom he bid farewell to his parents and set off. He went everywhere, meeting new dragons, from the Ashfall Waste, to the Viridian labyrinth and Starfall isles until finally he reached the Windswept Plateau. It was the best place for flying, with the soft breezes or high winds, then he stumbled upon a small clan in Zephyr Steppes.

Now Gual knew he was good looking, it was why he managed to go to all the places he did so easily without conflict, so it wasn't a surprise when he reached the Quatzal clan and was received with doting affection. Until he noticed the striped white Coatl female, disregard him completely as she turned away, how humiliating. He asked a Fae close by who she was, 'Oh her? She's the Officer, Kahlee, youngest to ever become a warrior here, impressive huh?' He replied 'Yeah, sure is...' This girl had sparked his interest and he wouldn't leave til he'd won her over.

'Hello' was the first thing he said to her, she ignored him.
'You alright?' The second thing, snubbed again.
'Would you show me...' The third, flat out given the cold shoulder.
He tried for days to speak to her, then weeks, but every time he did, she would disregard him, he didn't think she had a mate, he noticed another dragon who looked similar to her so asked him,
'Hey, you wouldn't happen to know Kahlee would you?'
The other dragon looked quizzically at him 'Yes, she's my sister, you're Gualtiero aren't you, i'm Faust'
'Nice to meet you Faust, you two are very different, I haven't seen you around training or anything?'
'Haha yeah we are different, i'm one of the Hatchling minders here, never was very strong.'
'Ah Well i was wondering if your sister happened to be with anyone, whenever i try to speak with her she ignores me.'
'Kahlee, really? She's never particularly rude and she hasn't got a mate. Oh know i see...' Faust smiled knowingly at him, 'She's on patrol tonight, if you want to find her.'
'Hmm... I wonder why she's like that with me then, and thanks, that's really helpful.' He said goodbye and went to find Kahlee.

Finally he saw her, he wanted to catch her by surprise, but that was ruined when he brushed by a bush and she was ready to claw his throat out. Now he could see why she was the officer, 'Hello sweetie, didn't know you were so desperate to see me?' he gave his loveliest smile possible, but she just groaned and rolled her eyes.
'Come to bother me again?' Well at least he finally got a reply, she had a surprisingly sweet voice.
'Oh sweetie, you know you were just waiting for me.'
'Trust me, i wasn't.' She turned around to walk back to her post.
Cutting her off again, He needed to find out what issues she had with him, 'What's your problem with me Kahlee? I don't think I've done anything wrong to you and if i have i'm sorry but ever since I've arrived you've done nothing but avoid me.'
'I just find you...' She trailed off, why wouldn't she answer.
'Find me..?' He questioned with a smirk on his face.
'Nothing.' She pouted, actually looking cute when she was annoyed. So she didn't actually have a reason to dislike me, this isn't going to be as hard as i thought.
'Well then why don't we talk?', she nodded in agreement. They talked about everything, Kahlee talked about her life as a youngster and how she became the officer, he found out she had a complex character, she was really interesting but was so uncertain about herself. Compared to her Gualtiero talks about his travels were positively boring, yet she looked at him with wonder in her face, as if it was the most fascinating thing she'd ever heard. They chatted away until the early hours of the morning and she was dozing off next to him and he noticed how beautiful she really was, her eyes, her scars, her feathery wings. Then he realised he'd been falling in love with her, not just tonight but all the weeks he'd been here, she's what kept him here and now he knew why.

'Kahlee?'
'Hmm?' she mumbled, her half awake eyes were just so adorable.
'I've never met any one quite like you, and i'd like to ask to stay here, if you'd want me to.'
He knew exactly how to wrap somebody around his little claw with words, but why was that the hardest thing he'd ever had to say?
'Gual, this is the first time I've felt like this and there's nothing i'd want more than fro you to stay.' She beamed, and it was the most wonderful thing he felt he'd ever seen, he'd never forget that smile. They told the clan the next day and he asked for permission to stay, Kalfur allowed it and they started their life together as a family.

After several accidents where Kahlee severely injured herself, he made her wear some armour, she only agreed if he also accepted to wear armour, he'd assumed the role of gatherer due to his expertise of the world but this could be a dangerous job especially of he was on his own. Kahlee worries him daily, but all he can do is wait patiently for her to return home after every patrol or fight with some food to fill her belly and be there to clean her wounds. It is due to this he also does some medical training whenever he can to help Kahlee.
