Soft. Petite. Pretty. Pink. That’s all they think that he is, but he’s more. Dark, no. Powerful, yes. Powerful, pretty, and pink is more fitting for him. He may look soft, and in some ways, he is, but he is dangerous beyond anyone’s imagination. He could take down another dragon in one blow if he wished. His clan was lucky enough to find a kinder dragon than that to be their chief wanderer and fighter of the world. His job is to go out into the world with a few younger, less experienced dragons, to train them to fight and explore and whatever else their goal is.
He then fights, conquering more territory. Sometimes, very rarely, he in injured, but he always makes it through in the end. He is strong, but not to the point that other dragons in his clan think he is almighty, all powerful. He does not have a mate. His parents were dead long ago. Either that, or he never had parents in the first place. Like the rest of his clan. He never really understood his clan, it was always so odd to him compared to the others. But it was his clan, and if he was anything besides strong and brave, it was loyal. He would never leave his clan, his friends, his fellow warriors, for anything. Unless he had to.
There was only one time that he had to leave his clan, the worst time. The time when every single dragon, hatchling, warrior, astronomer- When every single one of them was fighting. He had to fight through, too. It was a hard battle, one against hunger, his instincts, but he pulled through. His whole clan did save a few. The few who gave in, the few who didn’t try hard enough. They weren’t strong, and although his clan still grieves them, (losses are taken very seriously,) he thinks that it was for the best. Sometimes, the weak must go, leaving the strongest ones to reinforce the chain.
Taurus has always been one for fighting, for change. For winning and pushing and trying your best. Some always scorn him for this, but his best friends agree. His only friends agree. Despite having a good role in the clan, other dragons veer away from him in general. They think he’s dangerous, and, honestly, they have a right to. He doesn’t talk much, they don’t have a way of knowing how different he is from his work. But he does, rarely, get angry, and that’s when he talks. They have to know why of knowing anything at all about their warrior, the protector. He’s not good at earning trust, either.
He doesn’t even know himself very well, but what he knows rings true. He is different. Unlucky. Strong, and everything else. And in his clan, everything else is not normal. He only ever takes one thing for granted, one fact out of all of them
