She doesn't miss the Dragonhome like she thought she might. She had lived there for all of her life, she had felt like she knew all the sharp rocks and small pebbles, and all the darkest mines had felt like a home to her. Every day she had looked up at the Pillar of the World and thought that was where she would spend the rest of her life. That is where her lair mates and she would eventually move and it would be enough.

It would have been, probably. Until a curious little fae had moved to live with them in their lair. She didn't think much of him at first, a Light dragon he was, yet oddly mysterious. He was a traveling fella, said he'd been all over Sornieth, seeing this place and that. She hadn't really been interested, going on about her own daily things like nothing had happened. But she couldn't hide the pull she felt for him. A charge, could it be? She wasn't sure of it, but eventually she grew more and more curious.

And when the little fae then decided that he needed to see another place before getting bored, she decided to go with him. By then they had become friends. The fae knew so much about the world, told her stories of all the different things he'd seen. And she listened to them all in awe; other rocks and stones awaited for her there somewhere. What kind of shapes and shadows would they have? She was eager to find out.

She also learned, while traveling with the little friend of hers, that he was not the charge she was looking for. He was just a friend, and after they had stayed a while in the Sunbeam ruins and the fae had decided upon staying in his homeland, she was ready to go on on her own. She couldn't help feel a little sad about parting with her traveling companion, but she knew they would meet again some day. And she knew there was a lot more to her journey than this.
