 Blackiris
~Spy Plain, Simple Blackiris~

Blackiris, a whisper in the night. She came to Clan Huldra to take another's place, but something about her silence and fluid movements seemed out of place, and soon enough the Clan Matriarch felt it better to send her on her way as an explorer and ambassador. Perhaps this way she could send home some intel on other clans - what better candidate for a spy, than a Shadowling?

After gathering some intel in Earth and Lightning, most of which pertained to Dominance efforts, Blackiris reported home with her findings. The officials were very pleased with her efforts, and she was soon sent on her way again.

Rumours of the Lightweaver's gathering army brought you to this inn, but unfortunately, its permanent members were too caught up in the care of guests to ever whisper about politics. Nevertheless, the male you met was charming, alluring. You do not regret your nest with him. He is gone now, and soon you, and your hatchlings, will be too.

Returning back home for a while, Blackiris enjoyed the warmth of the hearth and cleansing herself in its light. At this point, she rid herself of her own apparel and took on a new persona and act, wearing a Peacebringer's Cowl as she left again to gather more intel.

Originally planning on gathering information on the Shadow flight, Blackiris instead finds herself winding up in a secluded part of the Emberglow Hearth. The dragons are all solitary, unique. They talk in their own dialect and spend hours working on pieces of art, just to scrap whatever they were making come nightfall. The area they inhabit is covered in artistic ventures that somehow survived the heavy scrutiny of the artistic eyes. Blackiris decides to stay for a time. Each dragon is an enigma in it's own sense, and she perceives herself learning quite a bit from them. Along the way she somehow finds an aloof Tengu to take along with her.

Blackiris noticed dragons trying to intercept her on her way to the Rainbowstone Clan. By now she was surprised there were travelers that hadn't heard about its turmoil. She still managed to get into the actual clan rather than the fugitive group nearby. By helping Ishild with some dirty work and taunting some prisoners, Blackiris ensured her own safety, giving her ample chance to study the clan. It intrigued her to study Ishild and the other dragons, and she quickly picked up on the loyalties of each dragon. Somehow, she couldn't figure out Rex's loyalties, though. Even after raising four hatchling with him, she still knew little of his loyalties or how he managed to stay in good standings with Ishild. He remained fascinating to her long after she left.


Uh-oh, looks like this mysterious skydancer wandered a little too far from her lair (12962, Zikul), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.
