Impulse may be quiet and diminutive, but he is still a force to be reckoned with. A gentle mage and scholar, Impulse can often be found in the spell labs or library -- when he's not scolding unruly hatchlings, that is. In battle, Impulse excels at casting healing spells, as well as debilitating spells to weaken the enemy so that his clanmates can either escape or finish them off.

Both in battle and out, Impulse can often be seen perching on the much larger Artemis for quicker transportation and a better view of the surroundings. Their relationship is more like that of trusted friends and comrades rather than lovers, a deep connection founded on wordless understanding, even with the difficulty of Fae-to-non-Fae communication. Nevertheless, they are partners, and Impulse has learned by now how to better read Artemis' moods and emotions through her body language, despite her lacking a Fae's expressive crests.
