Zash

Being on the small side for a Tundra, Zash is a generous and compassionate dragon who easily trusts and forgives and likes to give others the benefit of the doubt and second chances. He does have a temper, but his anger comes in quick rapid flashes and is even quicker to calm down. Despite being quite talkative he prefers to mind his own business and dislikes rumors and gossip as they "divide and destroy". Contrary to his mate’s logical book-knowledge, Zash is more social and interpersonal smart, which coupled with his great empathy and pacific nature make him very good at reading and understanding others.

Role: As the second in command, Zash is the mentor and main advisor of the leader, he seeks to tap into Xochtil’s more analytical and merely functional thoughts with reason and feelings, thus bringing balance to the decisions made by the council, he is also greatly in charge of the inner organization of the clan, functioning as an Inn keeper and clearing any dispute or problem among the members.

Backstory: Zash was raised by a gentle and protective Pearlcatcher who had found his egg, altough he never cared about his biological parents he decided to leave his old clan and search his own path. After some time of traveling in small nomadic groups or from clan to clan he came across a couple of solitary Faes who were seeking protection and a place to rest and decided to share a cave with them for the night, however after agreeing to travel together for a bit they stuck together and eventually formed a clan of their own with the addition of other dragons, the Tundra could finally call a place “home” after having fallen for the straightforward Xochtil.
-Zash keeps an old fabric scrap that belonged to his mother, it's probably his most treasured possesion as it "smells of mom".

-His birdskull strings were hand-made by Xochtil and he wears them proudly and happily as a sign of love.

-No one is completely sure of what exactly are the sharp crystals that grow in his body. Hila theorizes it's a mutation of gembond, but whatever it is doesn't really bother him past the fact it can get itchy, and in fact he can use it as a weapon or defense method.

-Zash has genuinely forgotten the death of his firstborn, he is aware it happened but no longer recalls the little hatchling or the event, Xochtil has long since decided not to remind him, thinking he'll only suffer more, and tries to move on herself.

-He befriended a small Yellow-throated sparrowmouse as his familiar, he follows Zash around ofen and nests in his thick fur or around his crystals, it's shy around others except Xochtil, who he chirpes happily to.
