Salica
Medic / Plant expert / Kind heart
Medic / Plant expert / Kind heart
|
Salica was content with his life in the Earth clan he was born into. But when visitors from Wild Orchard kept passing through, smelling of old blood and occasionally limping or wearing stained bandages, it pulled on his heartstrings until he had to do something about it. At first he thought he was only going to visit Nature's territory for a little while. The plan was to study the plants available here, figure out what could be used to heal what kind of wound or illness, teach the Wild Orchard how to grow and use the plants, and then head home. But the stony soil of Dragonhome hadn't prepared Salica for the wild profusion of growth the Wilds had to offer. One more week of stalling off his departure to give him time to brew potions made from a certain kind of fruit... one more month to tend a shrub's flowers to bloom... one more season to wait and see what kind of change Spring would bring... eventually he stopped kidding himself and realized that he wouldn't be happy leaving the gardens and the medicine to be found in them to anyone else. While his work and hobbies both center around growing plants and using them to care for his Clanmates, Salica also plays a role in Wild Orchard's trade and friendship with the fellow Nature clan Sideris-on-Riverbank. The Sideris Clan deals heavily in the growing and trade of tea, and as soon as some was purchased and given to Salica, he was reminded of stories he'd once heard from the Snappers back in Dragonhome about certain types of clay making especially good vessels for brewing. Now and then, when he's asked or when the growing schedule allows for it, he travels back into Earth lands and uses his elemental knowledge and sense of smell to find the best clay for Sideris' potters to work with. |
Such a pretty little garnet geode you could be,
if Facet wasn't so unreasonably expensive.
