There is little honor in killing a rival, but then BattleSong had never been the kind of dragon to worry much about honor. His brutal takeover of the clan created a short power vortex within its bloodshed, shooting him straight to the top of the line. As leader of the clan, he spent much of his time throwing his weight around to assert his new dominance. He trusted no one, not even his own mate and especially not dragons of his own kind. Ridgebacks like himself are considered highly dangerous, not to be trusted in the least.

When a ridgeback by the name of War came into his clan and killed his mate, BattleSong was impressed rather than repulsed. He took war as a mate in place of his late mate though the pair had a far from healthy relationship. Most of the time, BattleSong was paranoid that War was planning to overthrow him. Despite his horrible temper and proud nature, many dragons admired him but many more feared him. When things don't go his way, BattleSong wasn't below using violent force.
