Biography
DECAY wrote:
You hear a gurgling roar. A zombie with tattered wings and putrescent scaleless skin approaches you.
"I AM DECAY"
He utters, shuffling towards you. A mephitic odor approaches with him, a mark from the clan he was born into.

The callouses on Decay's talons scraped and shifted along the bones and stones leading to the entrance to Hellwell Undercroft. There had been a myriad of stalls and merchants littering the outskirts, and even more individuals hoping to stake their claim in Plague's centuries of lore or storytelling. Bards chirped along the steep walls of the massive skull, looking down at the wanderer making an approach.
Decay breathed in the dank fumes floating in from further along this massive city, and nodded a quick greeting to an imposing dragon clad in armor; she seemed to be making sure no one entering meant too bad of business. Decay moved away from dragons training for combat nearby, keeping extra distance from another aberration who looked all too eager to interrogate them on their past and intention coming to a place like this. They knew too well that any other aberration could easily identify their undead nature from smell alone. Though, it was a trait only well-noticed by those with the right twin set of olfactory organs or potent enough arcane capabilities.
Traveling further in, they began weaving through a deeper crowd of officials and entourages, once or twice leaning in to garner snippets of conversation about the whereabouts of shadier deals. Open bustling passageways turned to uneven side streets to alleyways dripping with slow rot and putrid oozes. In these far reaches of the Undercroft, the plague's spread was beginning its slow success in breaking down the bone walls of even this great hotbed of life.
A large set of flat stones leaning on a wall marked the den Decay was looking for, and carefully pulled back the damp moss-like curtains from the doorway, both heads searching for any signs of activity within. Short inconsistent rows of candles marked the pathway downwards, their light flickering and illuminating the shallow steps in a soft chartreuse hue. Decay's tails swished back and forth and they continued further down, the air unmoving, still, and just as devoid of life as they once were. The stairs faded into a slightly raised path, leading into a large opening with only minimally increased visibility.
In the far corner of the room a large figure stirred and raised its head as Decay passed the threshold. The composition of bones and slime moved and slid into an upright position, large deteriorating wings moving into a more comfortable position. The many eyes along its sides blinked and rolled to face Decay, though the spaces behind its mask seemed to remain dark and empty. Decay looked at the large figure, clearing their throats and nodding their head in some form of respect and greeting, sitting and placing themselves firmly in front of them. This journey had only begun, and they needed to know where they were headed.
"Where can I go to learn more about . . . us?"
"Us?"
"Dragons like us. If there is more to learn, where? And if there are more, where can I find them?"
The large dragon huffed, then nodded, pointing its nose to a map cast to the wayside on the floor. "I believe I know of a place, for the answers you seek."
