Biography

Songbird Caretaker  Songbird was born with respiratory issues that only got worse later in life. It's hard for him to breathe at altitudes that most dragons would consider comfortable flying range, and long flights wear him out more quickly than his clanmates. Refusing to accept that he could do nothing about it, he designed his own "life-support system" of sorts. Most of his outfit is designed to look cool and disguise the device that keeps him alive and breathing properly. Finding the mechanojets to add to his ensemble was a happy accident, as when he needs to fly they can help generate thrust or lift with less effort on his part. His condition leaves him mostly landbound, but Songbird is more than fine with this. He finds that he draws the attention of the other dragons that can't fly everywhere: hatchlings. Without knowing it, Songbird has found that he's become a bit of a hatchling caretaker for the clan. He loves spending time with the younger dragons, and tries to continue building relationships with them even after they grow up a bit. He thinks that being introduced to the dragons when they're young keeps them from being scared of all his odd mechanical parts. Other than that, his main talent is being an electrician. He and Bunny like to collab on projects sometimes. Songbird despises large bodies of water. Particularly the ocean. He hates having to go near the stuff. It's possibly a phobia, but he's not sure where it comes from. He rationalizes it as being afraid of his heavy mechanical gear weighing him down should he get stuck in the water. |
