Apothecary Occupation within clan: Head Medic. Orientation: Panromantic, Asexual. Pronouns: She/Her/Herself. Theme: December Winds. Mate: None. Children: Rourke. (Maybe Iridescent and Underbelly at some point.) Bio Formerly a combat medic for a clan of plague warriors, Marissa's livelihood hasn't exactly been the best one from the start. A plagueborn who chose to heal the wounds of war, rather than let things run their course? Fellow plaguekin looked at her with a fair amount of scorn, but her own clan was happy to have her around. In times of war, she saw more than her fair share of use, be it through healing or attacking with her rarely utilized plague magic. Though her clan was barbaric at best, even on it's good days, Marissa looks back upon her time there fondly. They may have been a conquest-happy bunch, but they did what their heart desired. She couldn't help but respect that. It was one day when that clan decided to go after more than they could chew that most of them were snuffed out, leaving Marissa and a few of the rookies to be the sole survivors. She couldn't stand this land any longer, and left said rookies in the night, in a chance to seek her own way. She wanted to teach others that this wasn't a life to live, and ways to prevent those from dying. Marissa didn't see herself as much, but lives were precious; it'd have gone against her morals to do anything less. She's traveled far and wide, teaching clans her talents. She met several of her followers this way; Rourke just as she began to leave the territory, Cornelia while traveling through Arcane territory, and Essa while traveling through Nature. They've stuck to her, and she's not inclined to leave them behind after seeing how dedicated they were. (Even if she and Cornelia disagree quite often on both method and application.) Though she stays in Clan Cirsium now, she still retains the job she took not long after her departure; she's a traveling medic, going around and healing clans who seek her out, or teach those who do likewise. Some come from fairly far to learn medical practices from her, and next to the tavern, it brings in many a drifter into the territory. |
