As an orphaned hatchling, Vixi worked at the Trading Post. It was not a terrible life. Her benefactor was kind & taught her many things. Still, Vixi dreamed of having a clan to call her own. Or maybe even just a teacup. Anytime a new dragon came to the post looking for staff, the little lightning hatchling would throw her scale into the ring. Unsurprisingly, there weren't many willing to hire on one so young.

That changed when she ran into the hindquarters of a certain water mirror named Luxis.

She'd been hurrying to deliver some letters on behalf of her benefactor and took the corner too fast for her mirror pup legs. One got tripped on the other, and she tumbled right into the water mirror chatting with Swipp. Her letters went flying. Swipp took off, and Luxis peeled the mirror pup off his rump.

After he helped her gather all her letters, Vixi found herself spilling her entire story to the amiable water mirror. "Looking for work, huh?" he asked at the end of it. "Hm. Let's see what we can do." From there, they met up with the nature tundra Eston. Following a quick agreement with her benefactor, Vixi found herself hired on as Wandering Tree clan's official errand hatchling.

It didn't end up being so simple, of course. She spent more time with the other hatchlings under Denmother Minia's care than she did doing the odd errand for the clan. Still, when she could, she'd sneak away and learn bookkeeping and other stewarding tasks from Eston. She took gadgetry lessons from Lora and learned all about herbs from Mysni. After mealtimes, she'd help with the cleaning up and dishwashing--not that there were many dishes for this small clan.

It was from that simple chore more than anything else that Vixi discovered what her true purpose would be. Aside from Mysni, no one in Wandering Tree truly knew anything about cooking or dining or the many delights proper cutlery. They served shalefin over pelagas feathers. Truly a tragedy. So, Vixi set about bringing culinary enlightenment to the small nomadic clan.

She started with a simple stand, making small sweets like cookies and cupcakes. That stand grew into a small tent complete with a couple tables and chairs where she served sandwiches and soups in addition to her baked goods. Soon, she hopes to turn that into her own full café. For now, she saves her treasure and collects recipes and cooking techniques any chance she gets.
