Description:

Kineshte is feral. She rarely communicates by speech, but don't mistake her for unintelligent. Her piercing eyes understand you just fine.

She was first seen hunting on Ember Clan's property, alone and injured. The Captain invited her to join.

Kineshte does not get close to others easily. Yet she has developed a fierce loyalty to Captain Auberje, and, over time, to Ember Clan.

She does not get close to others easily, but clan members respect her space, and that has put her at ease with them. She has grown to like certain company, as long as they don't try to talk to her.

Kineshte is a reserve member of the Defence Force. Although it is understood by all that her top priority in crisis is protecting the Captain.


Origins:

Hungry, I stole. Took what wasn't mine. Get hungry enough, you risk a swift death. Better than starving.

Got caught. Didn't fight back. Laid down, accepted my fate. No words left to beg for mercy. Lost my tears and my voice to the wind, long, long ago. . .

Gentle claws lifted my chin up. In her eyes, I looked for judgement. I saw kindness. I got fed. Wounds tended.

Tears returned.

She looks into my soul, and I remember who I am.

I live for her. I would die for her. I would kill for her.


Relationships:

The one dragon Kineshte cares most about is her Captain. Auberje's steadfast strength and kindness have won Kineshte's heart, and the two are lovers.

Her closest friend is fellow Wildclaw, Nimbuka. They enjoy much companiable silence as he meditates and she works on her battle drills.

Name meaning: Derived from old German "knecht" meaning "servant" or "bondsman" as she is the servant of Captain Auberje. The word "knecht" is also the root word of modern English "knight". Similar to a knight, Kineshte is a warrior sworn to her Captain's service.
