 WELCOME
"Greetings, traveler, and welcome to The Clan of Drifting Icecaps. My name is Amadeus, and I am the leader of this clan along with my lifelong mate, Tallah, who you will meet on the next page. We are grateful that you have taken interest in our humble clan, and we would love to tell you our story." "I was born and raised in the Cloudscrape Crags of The Southern Icefield. I've been dedicated to preserving my land since I was only a hatchling. The icefields are shrinking, you know. It is quite a tragedy, and there is little we can do." Amadeus stops to clear his throat and readjust his glasses. "Anyway, when I still young and ever so engrossed in my studies, I met a female guardian. Or, really, she met me. See we Tundra dragons... we have a bit of a stereotype put on us. One that claims we are not very smart creatures." He puffs out his chest as he walks. "While I've seen this be true to an extent, I was one of the brightest around, to the odd disapproval of my parents. They wanted me to serve the Icewarden's army like my many siblings had, but I had plans of my own." Amadeus pauses as he passes by a portrait in the hall. It takes him a moment to regain his composure. "Oh, sorry, I trailed off a bit there. Old wounds and all. Anyway, Tallah. Tallah seemed oddly attached to me from the moment we crossed paths. She wasn't just a guardian, she was my guardian. In the literal sense. I was a wee bit different from my counterparts and often bullied for it, and she kept me safe. I questioned if I was her "Charge", to which she vehemently disagreed. I'm sure you know already this was a lie. I knew it was too, but when she left her family to go on The Search like all Guardians do, I was able to confirm it was me. She came straight for me and has never returned to her birth clan. We left that same day to start a new journey together."

WELCOME
As you have seen, our clan is made up of many broken icecaps that have been connected by bridges and supports. Our bridges are dragon-made with ice and fortified with magic. We started with two icecaps that were close together, but eventually we managed to bring a few others closer. It was a long and tedious process, even with strength and magic." Amadeus guides you back towards the entrance of the cave and the bright sunlight. "As for lairs, most are similar to igloos. The largest lair is actually within the glacier of the central icecap, where we just exited. It hosts the lairs that belong to my partner and family, and a few other small lairs for our librarians. It also contains many resources such as a meeting room, armory, library, observatory, and comfort room. As for the other lairs, we do our best to accommodate all dragons. They are often decorated with items from their own birth flights and shared with those like them. We also try to keep empty lairs for passerby on long journeys. Dragons are also welcome to build lairs of their own if they decide to stay with us permanently. " "I can understand why you may ask, "What will this clan offer me?". I will answer "a home" or "safety". We strive to maintain peace, but we have many warriors among us. We have dragons from every background, skill, breed, and flight all together in the middle of the ocean. It is a bit farfetched, but we are simply trying to keep Sornieth together. There will always be a role you can take, a friend you can make, or a place to simply rest on your journey to wherever it is you're going. My only wish is that you pass on kindness wherever it is that you go in our world. And remember, there will always be a place here for you among the icecaps." ♫
