Dez the Enduring Goblin
Fussy / Temperamental / Prim
A nasty little creature with the tendency to claw anybody that gets too close to her. Dez was starved and half-dead when Sinth found her, and on a whim, he adopted the stray. She seems to adore Sinth and tolerates the rest of the Waste Waters clan at best, but that's probably because he spoils Dez rotten. Her brilliant mane must be brushed daily.

Sinth was born in the Rotrock Rim to a small, infectious clan that heavily worshiped the Plaguebringer. They manifested a harmful and sinister devotion to their deity, and as such Sinth grew up with an undoubted love towards his reigning god, the mother of all Plague. But like every clan in the Scarred Wasteland, it was difficult to survive; finding food and other resources was extremely challenging given the barren environment, and competition over such resources was more savage here than most areas. His small clan developed many unique methods and traditions in order to overcome the trials of the Rotrock Rim; one such tradition was to gather the hatchlings from the nesting grounds and offer them to the Wyrmwound in exaltation to the Plaguebringer. Many hatchlings didn’t come back from the tradition, forever serving their deity, but it kept the clan numbers low and bettered the chance of survival for the other dragons.
Sinth was a hatchling that came out of the Tradition of the Wyrmwound, but he was not the same from it. He underwent a change so severe that his clanmates had never seen the likes of such a mutation, but in their eyes he was now a complete and whole part of the Plaguebringer, denied of an exaltation and therefore worthy of survival. His hide of silky fur was burnt off and the skin exposed became blackened and charred, unable to heal itself or regrow any of his fur back. His feet and claws kindled and rotted, exposing muscle and bone to the elements. The gembond virus latched onto his body and wings. Wherever he stepped foot, the contagion soon followed. His mutation was so traumatizing that Sinth began to cry..
What fell from his eyes when he cried was not tears but disease, a hellish flow of Plague that yearned to infect all that it may touch. He has since been unable to stop the never-ending streams of rot. With long enough contact, Sinth's own clanmates were contaminated by the rivulets. This particular strain of Plague brought on by his everlasting sorrow wiped out at least half of their population in the long run, brought on by a slow and painful death.
As a danger to all dragonkind, Sinth could not linger in any place for too long, having no control over the tears that he continually sheds. He became an outcast to Sornieth society, forced to grow up alone without any family or friends after his unfortunate encounter with the Wyrmwound. Being ostracized and rejected by other dragons and various clans because of his grotesque, mutant appearance became his norm, and those familiar with the Plague were smart to be wary of his rivulets of rot. Sinth grew to be self-loathing and pessimistic from this repetitive treatment, and still struggles to accept his own flaws, who he is as a dragon, or what he represents. Worst of all, he lost his faith in the Plaguebringer.
His endless walking, seemingly with no purpose or will to live, eventually brought him to the shores of the Sea that lapped along the Wandering Contagion. Something about the water helped sooth the pain of his charred skin, and it was here where he first met Willow and the Waste Waters.
