Keres is a morose soul, and a bit of a sadsack to boot. She's a pessimist, though she tends to keep all that negativity to herself. Nobody else wants to feel that burden, so she'll bottle it up for herself. She is hesitant to speak, but when she does it's usually weak encouragement. She tends to overthink situations, especially those that involve other sentient beings.

When she was younger, she was shy and had a lot of anxieties. She hid from the living by working with the dead, as the clan's coroner and mortician. She found the world moved too fast, and was prone to using her ice magic to freeze things that scared her with their verve. At the encouragement of her closest friend, Sokar, Keres convinced herself that she could be more active in preventing the deaths that she loomed over every night. She learned defensive magic* as well as a bit of healing, and has proven herself very useful in the field. Her clanmates take more notice of her now, which is intimidating.

She doesn't have a big senes of self-worth, though. She's quick to dismiss her accomplishments and, to some extent, even fears recognition. The most aggressive she's ever gotten is when a well-meaning Themis was determined to acknowledge her efforts to the point of pushiness. Keres screamed and disappeared for days.

*Her defensive magic is generally a barrier of ice. Instead of stronger barrier = thicker ice, her barriers are of thin to moderate thickness but the real power of it comes from the intensity of the cold. If she tries hard enough, she could freeze carbon dioxide. She's working on freezing alcohol.
