| He lies spread-eagled in the sun, splayed wings tilted to catch the sun's rays. When he yawns his jaws creak like wind through branches, and his lassitude almost seeps into the hot, hazy air around him. Soon enough, though, a nearby aqueduct sends water flowing down into a gentle (if artificial) rain. He perks up under the the misty spray, bright eyes cracking open as he twists the long coils of his body into a poised, looping figure. Again his jaws open, flashing a bright red tongue that a buzzing fly finds irresistible - until they snap closed and it's neatly swallowed. |

SAKAL (a florist) Kastkau cultivates the flowers that Sakal arranges and sells, and she's always happy to direct them to the source of the fine blooms (knowing full well that without either of their magic, the flowers won't last long in the desert heat). |
