Between the Tidelord and the deep blue sea,

Andras came from a small Ridgeback family that lived along the coastline of the Flats, but his parents exalted themselves to the Tidelord when he was just a youngling, leaving Andras and his two siblings to fend for themselves. He never understood why their parents did what they did, but being the eldest child, he felt more responsible for his siblings, and was quick to take on the role of the provider. To his siblings, Andras is more like a father than a brother, especially to Laiken, who was still just an egg when they lost their parents. |
Though they survived on their own for quite some time, the three siblings were eventually given a place among Clan Abyss, so long as they could carry their own weight. However, there was some struggle during this time over the steady depletion of clan funds, and Andras was the first dragon to propose fishing as a way to make profit. Like many Ridgebacks, he began fishing as a means to avoid open water as much as he could, and as much as he dreaded the water, Aeron and Laiken were more important to him, which lead him to overcome his own fear. Fishing in order to feed his younger siblings was simply a means to an end.
Now that he knew his siblings would never have to starve again, Andras began fishing for the clan, not only as a source of food for Clan Abyss, but for commercial purposes as well. Clan Abyss has a booming economy in the seafood market thanks to Andras and his work. Fishing has since became his profession for the clan, and Andras has dedicated himself to it. But that's not to say that he doesn't necessarily enjoy it. Being the oldest, Andras was forced to grow up at a young age in order to take care of his siblings, and now he can enjoy his hobby for what it is, all the while making an income from it, too. He's developed all sorts of methods for fishing and can even reel in some of the toughest fish in the sea, such as the scaleskin marlin or the broadback pleco.

Living out on the open sea has its own perks- besides the fish, of course. Andras flourishes when he gets to tell his fisherdragon stories. His personal renditions have a tendency to be some of the tallest fishing tales out there and almost always encompass a near-death experience, but with the right atmosphere or audience, it's a surefire way to garner some attention. With the way his body has obviously sustained past injuries, he'd even claim that he has the scars to prove the tales.

Nowadays, he is almost always sailing out in the Thousand Current Sea, though he makes sure to have time for Aeron and Laiken when he comes home.

Andras, the residential pretty-boy shark of the clan, is an unlikable Ridgeback known for being headstrong and a loudmouth. His way is the right way and everybody else is just wrong. Though some might be intimidated by him and his brother, Aeron, Andras is actually the nicer of the two, if even by a marginal. He thrives off of his good looks and the attention that comes with it, and he is prone to over-excessively grooming himself.
Always the quarrelsome one, Andras always has something to say. He isn't intentionally rude but is incredibly blunt about what he has to say and isn't afraid to hurt any feelings in the process. There are no censors or sugar-coating with him. Andras can be patient when he needs to be and is capable of handling a lot of stress at a time. He is not afraid to set aside his pride and masculinity, especially in regards to the wellbeing of his family or friends. Furthermore, he is extremely defensive about his friends & family and will go to great lengths to protect them. |

| Erie is Andras' traveling companion more often than not. She is the clan's foremost merchant, and since Andras provides seafood to many territories all around Sornieth, she often tags along with him on his boating ventures. They actually get along quite nicely- Erie's bubbly personality helps fight the lonesome that Andras struggles with on his long trips out to sea. |

A gnarly creature that's just as unkind as Andras. This chested familiar is extremely important to Andras because he places all of his valuables and treasured belongings within it (which just happens to be lures and fishing line more often than not). Andras is confident enough to leave Juggernaut unlocked, as it will snarl and snap at any dragon or beast that even attempts to open it.
