Crash came crashing into Clan Ksayla, earning him his name. He was only a hatchling when he came zipping through a mysterious portal and fell right on top of the sleeping Titus, causing quite a commotion. It took the Clan a while to sort out what happened, in part because Crash was unable to speak and just kept squeaking and making odd gestures towards where the portal had been. Eventually things calmed down and everyone accepted that Crash was meant to be here, for one reason or another.

Only a few days had passed since the little Crash came to the Clan, he was still a hatchling, when quite suddenly the Hibernal Starbear awoke with an obvious purpose. Over the course of a few hours, the Bear lumbered around the lair until he came to the area of the nursery that Crash had been staying in. He sniffed Crash determinedly, sneezed once and fell to the ground, apparently sound asleep again. This left everyone mildly confused, as Axibelle had always served the Clan well as an Ambassador. Axibelle, however, was unphased, confident that she was secure in her position.

But again, in a short period of time, it was proved that the Starbear knew more than the rest of the Clan. After the Rise of the Nocturnes, big things happened in Clan Ksayla. The entire hierarchy shifted when the ailing Matriarch awoke healthy and changed. She abandoned her Charges, leaving Axibelle appalled. Axibelle deserted her post to take up the adandoned Charges, leaving only one obvious choice, the perfectly Arcane Crash.

Some in the Clan questioned this appointment as Crash was only capable of saying a very limited number of words after his accident as a hatchling. Emberling on the other hand knew that this was just a quirk that other Arcane dragons would fully understand as a hazard of working with the magical energies of the Universe.
