Biography

The Glittering Thief

Just before the New Year, a third Nocturne arrived in the Forest Wyrm's territory. Immediately he demanded a place and a meal, and these were given him, for the clan's rule is to give to those who ask. With his tiny size, it was assumed at first he was new-hatched, but time passed, and he grew no larger.

Nauglamir, alas, made a permanent fixture of himself. Though he eats as much as any, gives nothing back to the dragons who help to support him. Rather than craft, or hunt, or fight in his clan's defense, or even take a turn minding the hatchlings or stirring Soleil's cauldron, he claims that his beauty and his presence are enough to compensate his clanmates for their work, and the lair that could accommodate a larger family. Though Nocturnes are called the Shadowbinder's children, and though no servant of the Binder existed in the lair when he arrived, Nauglamir serves no-one but himself.

He travels occasionally, disappearing from his lair for weeks at a time and returning with wealth, which he counts gifts and displays in glittering profusion in the quartz-veined cave he calls home. With his tiny size, he can be easily mistaken for a bit of jewelry himself - particularly if he's draped himself over one of his larger clanmates.

His company is in high demand due to his beauty, wit, and wealth; sadly, Nauglamir brings those around him nothing but misery.
