Dragon Log

3-10-15: She heard of a Clan that had a lot of friendly Coatls and decoded to take a look... and almost immediately she decided to stay!

6-5-15: Welcomed with open arms, Amethyst has immensely enjoyed herself in the Clan... and now she is even being courted be several members of the Hatchery Program at once! She is completely overwhelmed, and not at all sure who to decide on....

6-7-15: Her life-long companion, the Maren Wavesinger Ariel, has Awakened! Amy is thrilled for her friend....

6-19-15: An extremely popular female, Amy had almost every Coatl male in the Clan courting her! In fact, for a time it seemed that she would never be able to decide, but at last she found one who attracted her more than the others... and now they are watching over 3 eggs! Amethyst cannot wait to see what her first children will be like....

6-28-15: Amethyst’s first three children, all girls, have delighted their mother. She was a little sorry to see her youngest daughter, a triple lavender beauty, head off to Water Flight so quickly, but she wishes her well there. And in the meantime she is enjoying her two daughters who have chosen for the moment to remain closer to home….

9-11-15: The second daughter has decided to move on, journeying to Nature Flight and a fresh start. Amy watched her go with mixed feelings, as she truly enjoyed having the young Coatl around, but it was obvious that the newly-Christened Cilian was growing restless. Perhaps in her new Clan she will find something to interest her…

9-12-15: Restlessness apparently runs in the family--or perhaps the last of this clutch was simply feeling lonely, with only a few nestmates left, and both of them young ones who kept to themselves. Whatever the reason, Amy's first-born has chosen to leave as well, heading for Ice Flight and whatever the future holds. She has begun this journey by choosing the name Sparie for herself. Only time will reveal where it leads....

11-20-15: While splashing in the Crystal Pools, Amy made an interesting discovery. That discovery decided to follow her home, and now the Rhodochrosite Crane is settling in, much to the envy of several other dragons in the Clan....

2-18-16: The Rhodochrosite Crane has Awakened! Amethyst is thrilled, and he seems pretty pleased with himself as well....

2-21-16: Amy was at the Trickmurk Circus Parade earlier today, and came home with a souvenir: A Lapis Lazuli Anklet! She is now wearing it proudly in fond memory of her time at the Festival of her Birth Flight--even if she is the only one who can see it....

Amethyst settled down near the front of the crowd, eagerly watching the floats. She had heard some much about this parade from Twilight and Flamecaster and the others, and now she was finally here! She grinned as the pearlctachers moved past, throwing their pearls. Oh, she couldn't wait to tell Athena about that... and were those Spirals performing acrobatics! Amy laughed aloud at the sight. Yes, Twilight had been right. This was definitely something not to be missed....

An imperial sits in the center of this float, fae swirling around him like particularly manic butterflies. The float itself looks only four-fifths finished - from the ground to the platform the imperial sits on, it's entirely done. It looks fantastic - the ruins of the Forum of the Obscured Crescent brought to bright life, as they might have looked before the Shadowbinder settled there and the darkness fell over the Tangled Woods.

But the rear third of the float, the part that rises up and gives the fae somewhere to perch, is so much bare wood and scraps. Even as you watch, fae are pressing strips of amber in place, molding the wooden frame it something that might, maybe be a circus tent when it's done. The imperial is painting from the bottom up, filling in the colors and turning the faes' sculpture into something that looks like tentcloth.

Written on the side of the float is the legend, "Building the Circus".

A few of the fae detach from the float, swirling around each other as they drift over the crowd, throwing down favors. Two of the break away to descend and look at the pretty jeweled coatl lady. Their frills shift, then one proffers her a favor.)]

2-9-18: It’s getting around the time of year when all Shadow dragons begin to think of their homeland, and the Clan expected Amethyst to avoid bonding with any familiar, in the hopes of being picked for the special Festival Familiar in a few weeks. Amy, however, seems to want to start the festivities early: She has just bonded with a Hawksbill Goliath! Perhaps some more of the Clan should join Amy on her trips to the Crystal Pools, if she is going to keep on finding such prizes while there....

5-14-18: Snapper, the Hawksbill Goliath, has Awakened! Amy is thrilled for her friend. Snapper is clearly just as thrilled, swimming happily in his special pool, and eating all the fish she throws him. Hopefully his elation will die down before he eats the Clan's whole stock...

6-7-19: Following the in the footsteps of several of her Coatl “siblings,” Amy recently raided the Hoard for new Focus Stones. To her delight, she found herself an Amethyst Flourish Necklace, enabling her abilities to focus her power to increase tremendously, now that she is able to use at last the stone that she has the most affinity to. As an obvious response to this, Amethyst is the latest in a rash of dragons who has acquired a visual representation of her magic. Hers has appeared in the guise of a Shady Emblem and a Fathomsearch Halo, both of which, while insubstantial, are very striking. Amy is as thrilled by their appearance as she is by her new “toy”…

2-28-20: And Amethyst now has a new reason to be thrilled: At long last, a Festival Familiar has chosen her as a companion! The Driftwood Gem Guardian took his time, testing all the Shadow dragons in the Clan, but in the end, he floated over to Amy, and offered her his gem, and his bond, and she couldn't be happier...

5-29-20: The Driftwood Gem Guardian has Awakened! Amethyst is very happy for her friend. Now, if only she could think of a name for him...
