Gifted to him by his clan leader during his coming of age ceremony. Who needs hair and feather dyes when you can just use a stone?

Pros: Not much beyond visuals. His mother's says it made him more thick headed, but thats probably not literal.

Cons: Nothing unless you dislike the color, though he doesnt. He likes using his white face for face painting.




History

Born into the Deinos Valley in the clan of his mother and father, Song Stone always yearned to make life in the lifeless hot desert and canyons a bit more fun whenever possible. So from a young age, he found his gift in art, drawing to his heart's content. It was a hard sell to their clan leader to let him pursue this line of career however, as it didn't pose much use to the clan. Thus, determined to show it was indeed important, he began his quest of drawing all over the clan's home. Sometimes literally. He helped draw banners for festivals, do face paints for ceremonies, bring other hatchlings joy with his art, give lairs a make over and much, much more. His creative endeavors were unstoppable even when his parents tried. As unstoppable was his smug grin on his face when he would see the clan leader being grumpy but admiring his works.

It was hard to deny his passion for it, so when the time of him coming of age came, he was thrilled to officially be dubbed the clan's artist. A happy end right?

The problem: His mind wouldn't stop about the projects. There was so much he wanted to do, so many techniques to learn, to go beyond art and see if he could sculpt, sew, and whatever else he could get his claws on.

But the sun was always leaving him when he finally found a good flow! And he couldn't keep working throughout each and every night without hearing more dragons and dinos chide him for not resting.

But his mind never did, even when his body did. To make a masterpiece like no one else ever could, that was his ultimate goal. Some monument, some symbol, something to remember him by afte the ages. A dream he was ready to pursue for as long as he needed to. If only it was easier to move out of the clan. Not permanently, but he wanted to see the world more! It was rare for anyone but Messengers like his father to even see cities like the one in the Rex Canyon. But maybe eventually he could convince their leader to let him go. He managed to convince him about the art thing after all.
