Biography
I am the commitment of new facts to memory; the association and habit unexamined, but ever-present. I am Learning, and I disseminate knowledge as freely as the mushroom disseminates spores.
I came to this place in Tama's wake, keeping a closer eye on her than was, as it happened, entirely necessary. Once here, however, I became fascinated with much of the day-to-day of the Grove and some of its odder inhabitants, such as Liliana and Dredge. Now, it is my home, and I have no intention of leaving.
To keep boasting to a minimum, I shall simply say that I am a learned scholar. I know much about the world and am often the one dragons come to with questions about new species in the Grove, or strange things observed by the Sight. My memory isn't perfect - that's what books are for, after all - but I take a special delight in learning something new. There is so much out there to know, and the more I learn about one thing, the more I understand something else.
The tales I tell hatchlings have been known to encourage them to explore and inadvertently seek out danger. It has been said that I make danger sound romantic and exciting, and the other dragons try to keep my story-telling to a minimum.
Although I love Sampkin with all my heart, I can't feel entirely content with what he's been doing with himself lately...and more to the point with that accursed Saasiyeth. I worry about where this will lead.
Oh, a word of advice: The Grove does not have a library. There are no libraries here. None.
Anyone who tells you otherwise is not to be trusted.
