Varuna is a seasoned and grizzled warrior, a veteran of countless battles for the Arcanist. He fought against other flights and against the extraterrestrial invaders that threatened the Starfall Isles. Nobody knows quite what caused him to give up fighting, but many think it is due to his mate, Amphitrite, and her desire to settle down. The fight has not left his bones, however, and he uses all of his powerful arcane magicks to defend his new home and his family.

There is much he needs to learn about tending to the earth, he was never trained to grow. Maybe his daughter will become a farmer here. He hopes that his daughter will never know the horrors of war. While his daughter travels across the land, Varuna stays close to the clan and patrols the borders with Bellus. He knows that should an enemy attack, their small clan would not stand a chance. He is worried for the future of this rapidly growing clan. War can only destroy, and all this clan believes in is creation, violence would utterly rip apart their society. For his sake, and for the sake of the whole clan, he hopes that Apis can keep bloodshed far from their borders.
