Carrying the ideals of law and justice, Merric travels the land in order to gain knowledge and protect the innocent. These ideals came into being thanks to spending part of his childhood in the Sunbeam Ruins. The texts he read as a child helped shaped him to be the dragon he is today. These texts talked philosophy about justice and harmony, something Merric now strives to obtain. This great hero now goes on many adventures in order to help spread those ideals.
Despite the fine ideals, Merric is a bit of dragon with a stick up his butt. He has a habit of policing other dragons, especially the mischievous ones. Usually he takes things quite seriously and has a hard time relaxing, but that doesn't mean he knows how to have a bit of fun. When he finally feels comfortable, he welcomes simple games like cards to bond with other dragons. He isn't the type to gamble or cheat though, he isn't a shadow dragon you know! Once you get to know Merric a bit more, one can realize there are a lot of strange quirks about Merric.
For example, Merric is afraid the Gladekeeper is resentful towards him for converting to another religion. Especially since his parents worshiped that deity and did their best to protect Merric when they were attacked by a rival group of plague Wildclaws. During the attack, he was forced to flee his home and abandon his parents, who he believes to be dead. After being separated from his parents violently, he developed another strange quirk. The simple burlap hood he wears today is actually a baby blanket his parents used when they still raised him. He has grown attached to it, and he becomes noticeably nervous, and even a bit upset, whenever someone removes his hood and reveals his face without his permission. He also becomes visibly bashful and his confidence lowers without his hood.

Quick Personality Traits
Religious / Stern / Bashful / Lawful Hobbies Playing board games, reading, knitting Orientation Heteroromantic? (Is prone to questioning himself though) Abilities He knows some light magic, but due to being a nature dragon it's not as effective as it could be. His natural talents lie with nature magic and healing. While he has accepted the fact that he is a skilled healer, he tries to avoid using nature magic, despite what the many mages in Clan Spinelside recommend to him. Likes Order, games, his burlap hood. Dislikes Uncontrolled fires, disappointing others, and troublesome dragons. |
