(Behind him five figures stood, each holding various tools coated in a red residue. When he turned, he was barely able to avoid a tool to the chest, and he fled. Ah... This is what they spoke of, was it not ? This was the hunt they whispered through the trees. And the garnet sky turned Overcast as he fled through the forest, never daring to look back.)

14 - Twilight / Midnight / Auburn
(Twilight fell, and he sat all alone, with the same solitude he had known, those who had pursued him left far behind. Ten years, he had heard. It had been ten years since they begun to hunt his kind. After being alone for so long, even he had no idea how many of his kind remained... Was he... perhaps... the last one? Shaking his head, it had to be impossible to be such. But as he thought about what may have happened, something within him began to swell. His eyes drooped and all energy he had escaped. Ah... what was this...? How could he fall asleep now...? But as he closed his eyes, words rang in his ears...)

(Once I finish this verse you will be unable to open your eyes, but in four thousand years, learn to form many new ties...
The Moon far above, how it shines through the night. Awaken then, the voice said, to a glorious new light.)

(Prevail, my children, prevail, prevail. Don't be lost now to time as a Red-dyed, cruel tale.)

20 - Abyss / Thicket / Marigold
(The song finished playing and he fell into a deep, deep slumber. The hunts outside stopped, unable to find any more of his kind, and after many years the memory of these days sunk into the Abyss. He remained there, however, lost to time, awaiting the four thousand years the song prophesied, awaiting the day this new "light" would awaken him and the others.)

21 - Charcoal / Sunset / Marigold
(Then, in the Sunset of one day, his 'grave' was discovered, and within it his sleeping body lay. Two figures entered, one nimble and weak, the other graceful and elegant, and approached him. Smiling, the weak one lowered himself to the 'grave' and reached for the slumbering body. "I am Lucian Amika Alduino... And I'm here to awaken you.")

22 - Grapefruit / Stone / Murk (He reached down to touch the figure, who was as cold as Stone, and in a single, swift moment he awoke and arose, attaching himself quickly to the shoulder of the man named Lucian. Memories flooded into his brain, filling his mind with horrid memories of what humanity was capable of, of what it had done to this man named Lucian, and he quickly detached himself, finding it impossible to stop the tears that ran down his face. Breathing slowly, the man named Lucian raised a hand to where the now-awakened vampire had sunk his teeth, and smiled painfully at the man. "I apologize... for my memories..." he whispered, closing his eyes and reaching out to grab the vampire's hand. "But... I welcome you... to our time... and I promise to make it as much of a home as I can.")

23 - Silver / Ruby / Marigold
(Although the tears had previously been those of grief, something else welled within the chest of the vampire who sat before this tragic man named Lucian. Although the smile was pained, although he had spent so long away from others, he could tell what that smile was. It was a warm smile, one with truly good intentions... Reaching out to take Lucian's hand, the vampire closed his eyes and nodded. "A Silver lining, so goes the saying," the vampire said in a low, rough voice. "And a silver soul.")

24 - Robin / Moon / Pink
(The Moon rose that night and the three emerged from the 'grave.' Four thousand years had really passed, thought the vampire, and everything was so... different. Gazing around them, various unfamiliar faces surrounded the three. Closing his eyes once more, the vampire exhaled, inhaling shortly after slowly, breathing in the air of the new age. Four thousand years...
"Shall we go?" asked Lucian, catching the vampire off guard. "You may have already seen it in the memories, but there is another who awoke not too long ago staying with us... I'm sure seeing them will bring you at ease?
Ah... another one. Another vampire, just like him. That poem had not lied about not being alone, but so long he had gone without seeing another that he wondered if he really would feel at ease. Who did that fellow vampire lose? Were they... happy? Did they hold any resentment towards the humans? He had no right to feel this way, after all, he had abandoned his own family years before the hunts had even begun...
Looking ahead at nothing in particular, he nodded.
"I... Suppose... I should," he whispered. "We are the last of our kind, after all...")
