QingXi and QingHe are half sisters, both raised in Luo Yang Territory as noble girls, before they were chosen by their emperors' various advisors. QingXi was taken to Yue Yang Territory. Despite their current circumstances, the two retained a firm relationship.

As a child, QingXi was naive and reserved, keeping her own thoughts and feelings to herself. She's now grown to become direct, informal, and outspoken through harsh experience. Silence is weakness, and she believes that she must voice injustices in order to gain authority. Her sharp personality caught the attention of XiaoFeng, but QingXi sees his corruption and brazenly veers away from the emperor.

Her relationship with JianFei is cold and distant, for unspoken reasons.
