Biography
Angelo, Alpha Male and mate of Angel.
Over time, Angelo has experienced more changes and growth than any other dragon in the clan - one could say, anyway.
Angelo awoke one day as a Fae in a small lair unsure of where he was, or even who he was. He knew only the basics of survival and wasn't even entirely sure how he had came into that knowledge. After many days of scarce survival, he was visited by an apparition of the Gladekeeper and learned of many things in regards to both his own existence and that of the world around him. He was among the first of his kind in this world - hatched by the Gladekeeper herself to protect nature. Upon learning of this, another dragon named Angel stumbled into the clan; it seemed as though the Gladekeeper herself had created Angel to be the perfect mate of Angelo and they quickly become close friends and mates.
Time went on and shortly thereafter Angelo's first offspring was born, a female named Jaheira. During this time Angelo became much more cunning than he had been and learned of the mind and thoughts of others and his own narcissism began to grow as he took in more clan members. Soon Angelo had grown to be manipulative of others - while he did still care for those under his charge, he began to believe that simply using subtle suggestions and control methods worked more effectively for both peace and management within the clan than actual upfront and forthright discussion. Despite his obvious narcissism and not as obvious manipulation he was both respected and loved by nearly all the members of his clan and he was happy, as were those under him.
Many moons later, Angelo met an interesting dragon by the name of Elmdor. Elmdor was a rare Wildclaw and a fledgling mage - both traits that interested Angelo and Elmdor was taken in to the clan and quickly both befriended and raised through the ranks. Using Elmdor's magic and Angelo's bond with the Gladekeeper a powerful ritual was performed upon Angelo changing him from a Fae to a Pearlcatcher - making him one of a few thousand Pearlcatchers in existence at the time.
Angelo's arrogance proved to nearly be his downfall, as a beautiful Spiral named Celestia arrived at the clan and quickly began feeding Angelo's arrogance, becoming close to him at an alarming rate. Due to unfortunate circumstances Angel was struck by a plague and rendered unable to breed, giving Celestia the opportunity to become Angelo's next mate. As time progressed Celestia slowly began seizing control of the clan for herself, using her honeyed sway over Angelo to expel those who opposed her - it seemed only Angel, Jaheira and Elmdor were safe from her wrath and will. Elmdor, suspicious of Celestia, used his magics to discover Celestia had cursed Angel and was using magic to partially control Angelo. Upon learning of this, Angelo became enraged and forced Celestia to undo her curse under threat of death and then banished her from the clan.
As time has passed from that event, Angelo's arrogance and narcissism have dwindled to a much more healthy level and he has become a true diplomatic leader of the clan. Shortly after his change to being a diplomatic leader, he awoke one misty morning to discover his familiar had been transformed into a Nature Sprite - a living aspect of the Gladekeeper, and he took that as a sign that his changes were smiled upon by the Gladekeeper herself.
