Egg Vault Keeper Watch me, I teeter eeriely, Watch me, Watch me closely, Before I eat you. |
  You sneak lithely towards a vault, to claim treasure or find knowledge (both of which are possible). As you move closer to the vault, a stone tablet with something etched into it messily catches your eye, you peer over it to read. ~The Deranged Vault-keeper~ You are suddenly aware of a presence behind you and you turn slowly. A spiraling body stares intently st you from the darkness ahead, his twisted movements, seemingly impossible. Their eyes seering into you, a piercing yellow. Then you hear his rasping, gollem-like voice. "Hehe... he...Hello stranger? What brings you to the dark crevices of the Windy Steppe's Vault? I certainly hope you don't plan on stealing anything. Unless you are hear to talk to the Deepseer that is.... As you can probably tell, I am completely attached to everything here... The again, having something to do, like kill a thief might not be so boring... hehe... so what shall it b--" A short fit of pained grunts ensue and you aren't sure if you should stay and listen on or move quickly while they are incapacitated. You are quickly alerted to the sound of a nervous and shaky vice emanating from the same looping lizard ahead. "Oh? eh... er. Ah, you shouldn't be here you know, get out... quickly, before something bad happens to you.... hehe... Urk! There are only scraps of paper here anyway... get out!" You get the odd feeling you should take the strange dragon's warning and turn back, leaving the vault alone. Turning back quickly you leave without leaving a trace of yourself, confused by the encounter. Egg is a deranged dragon, the members of Windy Steppes Temple have tried their best to bring this dragon to complete sanity, but none of their efforts have made progress. He is loved by few, and held in high regard by few others that know his chaotic potential. He used to be a guard and leader of the Clan when they resided in the lands of the Lightweaver, but a terrible incident with the Shade caused his brain to addle. He is now still considered an honorary member of the leadership for the temple, as the entire clan moved to the windy lands, and he doesn't always spend his time underground at the bamboos roots anymore, as you can find him twirling in the winds occasionally. Most of the newer members of the clan keep their distance from the dragon, but those who know him most, or care to learn about him, protect him and consider him highly in the clan.
