Biography
Seishin came to the Clan as a young adult, unnamed but spouting cryptic messages, the likes none of the Clan have ever experienced. The only dragon in the Clan who halfway understood the Moon Nocturne was Prophesy, and she quickly took flight and left the Clan once Seishin was named.
Groove has since come to understand that Seishin is a legitimate seer, rather than the granddaughter of one as Prophesy was, and Seishin's magic is potent and overwhelming.
Seishin resides on the very edge of the Clan's borders, and you can rarely see him mingling with the rest of the Clan; as his magic affects all - especially the trees which surrounds the middle of the Clan's territory. So Seishin practices his prophecies close to the Water domain, for the water is unaffected by his elixirs and words.
A few months after Seishin was named, Groove managed to get a hold of an Ice Sculpture, a fantastic guard created by the Icewarden - as Groove believed the borders needed extra protection (something that insulted Alatar, Pallando and the various other dragons tasked with keeping the clans' secrecy). The poor seer fell in love with her crystal skin, and went on a long, long journey in order to get her reanimated. Eventually this occurred and Tsurara was named, and mated to Seishin.
They had two daughters, a gorgeous moonchild who was called the daughter of the prophet, for she had inherited Seishin's potent ability as well as his colours. His second daughter was called the daughter of the union, for she held her mother's colours in flesh, her fathers colours in wings, but was a mess spiritually. Delphine, the perfect moonchild, grew up as peacefully as a hatchling who could only speak in riddles could, her premonitions and visions leading many dragons to find their mates. Amina, on the other hand grew up without the ridicules of other hatchlings, but was raised by the conflict and torment her mind presented her.
Amina was never happy. How could she be? With premonitions forcing their way through her mind and the ice inherited from her mother slowly killing her, Amina couldn't stay in the clan. So when Delphine had a vision that Amina was destined for the Shadowbinder, no one could stop her.
So the family consisted of three. Seishin couldn't help but draw parallels between his dysfunctional family and Alatar's dysfunctional family. So he took to wandering the markets of Sornieth, spending his days far away from his clan and family, and instead learning to control the aura and potency of his magic.
Seishin stumbled across Ophelia on one of these escapades; the daughter of Tybalt, a great prophet in his own right. Unfortunately for Tybalt's clan they had failed to realise that little Ophelia needed to move flights in order for her ability to shine through.
