“You’re beautiful, Orei.” Galan smiles softly and touches her mane. “Such a nice pattern. New Baldwin invention, isn’t it?”
Orei blushes a bit and smiles at him:
“It is. Thank you for the compliment.”
“It’s not a compliment, it’s just a fact, my lovely lady.”
Galan thinks for a moment and then takes off one of his daisy corsages. He’s so fond of daisies, that sweet guy. Some dragons say he’s even too fond of them – but Orei doesn’t think so.
“They say that daisy corsages are usually gifts from special someone, “ he smiles, helping her put it on her paw.
Orei freezes uncomfortably.
“Galan, I…”
He laughs and waves his paw dismissively.
“Oh, hush. I know. To be honest, I find Hinoki much more attractive in that way.”
“Don’t let Gwyrrd hear it.”
“I’m not suicidal, you know.”
This time they laugh together. Orei nudges his shoulder.
“But you are my special someone, Galan. You’re the best friend I’ve ever had.”
He smiles and boops her cheek with his nose.
“Same here, Spark. Same here.”
