| Lyaeus looks up, temporarily covered by dust and paint from the stage setup, and smiles at Tener Praesule, bowing down slightly to his friend. He knows that the dancer will have a great night tonight. |

To hone his craft, Lyaeus studied first under the smithing lord Hephaestus, and then the kings of music and travel Apollo and Hermes. Hermes, in particular, was fond of the boy and taught him many tricks with light and shadow as well as moving and working unobserved. (Had Lyaeus's interest in entertainment ever waned, perhaps Hermes would have liked to take him in as a personal acolyte.) Lyaeus's talents were such that he could arrange stages in mere minutes and also not be seen the entire time, allowing the audience to focus their attention on the artist. When an offer came from the Plague lands for Lyaeus to work with an up-and-coming dancer, Lyaeus was initially hesitant. He liked working with Marianne, Dionysus, Scheherazade and Turandot, the entertainers of his home clan, and was exceptionally close to his brother Polaris. Polaris comforted him, promising to write him letters; surely Lyaeus can learn more from the stage hands working outside the Sunbeam Ruins, and perhaps some dragons there would find Lyaeus gorgeous by himself. |

And so Lyaeus set off alone; he watched one of Tener Praesule's performances incognito, and was extremely impressed by the dancer. Moreover, he recognized weaknesses in the stage design, and became excited to work on it in order to improve the exposure and atmosphere. He introduced himself to the dancer and his new clan, and soon took to work; his first anchored performance received great acclaim, and he has started to also study choreography, in the hope that one day he'll be able to produce something even more spectacular for the crowd. In his free time - when Lyaeus is about entertaining himself - he takes after his father Vancouver (indeed, Aphrodite has noted that Lyaeus and Polaris take after Vancouver far more than Armona and North), delighting in aviation and nature. He is an avid birdwatcher, always asking to hoard the birds in his clans of residence (and nearly always getting the responsibility since few birds are also seafood), enjoys visiting parks either by himself or with friends, and has learned the arts of brewing coffee from the great artisans Ember and Hestia. Explosive on stage but mild-mannered in person, he's always there to help anyone in distress, and wishes to one day perhaps get his brother Polaris to pay him a visit. |

» Born the child of a self-proclaimed goddess of beauty and love, Lyaeus is no stranger to entertainment. Not considered by his mother to be as physically endowed as his brothers Armona, North and Polaris, he grew up under his brothers' shadow but constantly starstruck by them, striving to adorn their beauty with his work. If Lyaeus cannot be the one adored on the stage, he would make sure that those he admires and loves would receive all the attention they deserve. |

Then it to collect supplies for whatever play they're conducting that evening, then to see if Tener or any of the clan needs assistance, then it's to decorate the outfits, the stage, make sure the props are ready, and then it's to conduct the play, spar with Tener, and then it's sleep time.
