 H I S T O R Y
"It was the age of magic. Before the world had been ravaged by those who it had nurtured and kept shielded from the darkness of the abyss. A world where dragons were more than they are today. That is the cosmos from where I come from.
On this day I will tell you my origin, I will speak to you of the dark and of the light. Of loss and love. And of the ever-gleaming runes..." I am Lux. A runic dragon of the SunSoul tribe, blessed with a name meaning Light. Perhaps this name means little to you, in a time where the sun steadily rises and sets with no need to fear its fading protection, but it was not all that long ago that the sun, was little more than a myth. When glowing scales meant the difference between life and death, there were few more treasured than the dragons blessed with runic scales. From the light these dragons emanated arose hope and fortitude in a world that had been reduced to little more than a wasteland. But no gift comes without a price. For each of those who would revere and cultivate this light, countless others were drawn into the abyss. Spoiled and rotted by their greed for power, these dragons who had extinguished the light within them, became desperate to regain what they forfeited in the pursuit of their unholy union with the dark. For in sacrificing their light they had unwittingly renounced the blessing of the sun. And just as the moon reflects the illumination of daylight, these dragon in turn became the incarnation of the night. Their scales would become faded and torn, a constant agony for any dragon to endure, and their runes? Their luster would fade with the last setting sun, never to return to their former glory. For those cursed by the dark, may only find solace in the night. And so these abominations named themselves MoonShrieks, and ever since have been my greatest enemy.
