______ Doran is a bitter dragon, they say. Not so that others immensely dislike him, but he has a bitterness about him that resembles Vaermina's icy temper, one which dragons stay away from. Many joke that they are related because of their similar personality, but few have the courage to say it to his face, out of fear he will lash out at them. In battle, he uses this bitterness to create waves of rage which drown and wash away his enemies. Vaermina, after witnessing such an attack against a few Mimics when the Clan home was under siege, decided to take him under her wing and teach him the ways of a warrior.

______ Despite what they say, though, Doran isn't a truly bitter dragon, nor does he hate everyone and everything around him. He is only bitter because of his days being a Hatchery dragon, having to forcefully bond and partner with Vala, who isn't the easiest dragon to get along with. His bitterness comes from sleepless nights where the nightmares haunt the corners of his vision. When he has had a decent night's sleep, he is quite a chirpy, cheerful dragon. He has found a friendship of sorts with Lamedh, a fellow Water dragon. The two can often be seen at the shore by the port, watching the waves in a comfortable silence.
