Biography
Skinpainter
Banquo is a Skinpainter, an artist who specializes in color and design as applied to the body. He uses a variety of pigment, magical and mundane, to apply intricate and beautiful designs to dragons' and beastfolk's scales, fur, and feathers. It is a form of spellcraft as well as art, so that the finished product is more than just tattoo or facepaint, but a design that lives and grows with its wearer. Banquo lives in Pod's Garden, the source of most of his magic-imbued plant-based pigments, but he often travels from clan to clan offering his services. He's generally very highly regarded and makes good money practicing his craft, although he is not particularly good at managing it.
Deaf from birth, Banquo is effectively mute as well, but he is highly expressive through his actions and behavior. He uses many Fae methods of communication by moving his head feathers to express emotion and he can actually convey complex ideas and speech through Fae sign language. When unable to convey something through action or expression, his usual method is to write things down, sometimes in a well-worn sketchbook he keeps in his bag and sometimes written directly in the air, the slightly impatient letters dancing in place.
He is the dragon equivalent of "middle-aged", a bit older now and more cynical than he used to be, but mostly full of cheer and enthusiasm. He's seen much of the world and found it to be mostly good and beautiful, despite its best efforts otherwise.
