At the dawn of dragonkind, an ancient secret passed from the maw of one dragon to the ear of another. It was hidden under breathe, muttered, whispered—and from its recipient it drew a mournful wail. So great was the pain of the listener and so sordid the secret of the speaker that the words and their resulting shout took form, manifesting as a pair of monstrous dragons. Together, these beasts set out across Sornieth, leaving children at the borders of countless clans. These children, The Knowing, each possess an awareness of a unique secret from before the Third Age, plagued and blessed by its vexing mysteries.

This particular offspring is of the first clutch of the Knowing. The force of the magic which birthed his parents pulses strong in his veins.

The Secret wrote:
The Garden calls to Allium every night, its voice a gentle whisper that grows louder as the moon rises in the sky. It has never told him its location, making only vague reference to where he might find it. But The Garden has been very clear about one thing: on the day that Allium discovers its entrance, a golden archway of fire flowers and dayglo thresh, he shall leave the world of mortal creatures and ascend to his birthright. On the day that he discovers its entrance, he shall become a King among spirits, a God among dragonkind…

But when the sun reigns the skies, another voice speaks in his ear. It warns him not to venture far from his home, to never seek that which The Garden has promised. And, as it speaks, the dragon must wonder:

Which voice speaks true, The Garden or his daylight stranger? And what, pray tell, happened to the ancient sages the stranger insists followed before him, walking through the golden archways and into a world quite unlike his own?
