Verin

Borne of the Foxfire Bramble, Verin had always felt very trapped. His entire life was spent winding through vines like a spiral through the air -- erratically, dangerously, and most of all, confusedly. One would think that as moons passed, you would learn to navigate, but that simply wasn't true, and Verin knew it very well. The world was always changing, just like the vines of the Foxfire Bramble. A path you took two sunrises ago could very well be blocked off the moment you try to pass through it again. That's why when Verin came of age and left the brambles, he did so with utter conviction to never be tied down again.

In the beginning, Verin traveled the skies with one purpose in mind -- to be free. He never stayed in one place. He never stayed with one she-dragon. As time passed, however, he began to grow more and more restless. His stays became shorter and shorter, and before long, he stopped staying altogether. He flew until the world blurred beneath him. He flew until his wings ached and he could barely breathe. He flew...
