SCIENTIST
Erudite • Unorthodox • Just a touch mad
His full name is Dionysus, but nobody calls him that. Dio is, predictably for an Arcane imperial, a learnéd researcher. Like many other researchers, he is particularly entrenched in the study of the Gembond disease. Dio believes there's more than a mere magical element involved, and he believes that if he can just crack the code, he can control the effects. His interest in disfiguring diseases earned him a warm welcome in the Meandering Miasma. His preference of testing on living subjects* only endears him further among the clan.

*Sadly, this is most often himself, as he will also only accept willing volunteers and as it turns out, those are hard to come by. At least HaNikra is always happy to take his failures off his hands.

Yegor: a servile, lisping psywurm he has trained to fetch his research instruments. As well-behaved as she is, though, she still can't resist dozing on his research notes while he's trying to write them (and as a result, her fur is often ink-stained).


Anomalies
Dio has suffered to no end in the name of his own experiments. His eyes in particular are unstable -- nearsighted one week, farsighted the next, but often sensitive to light. Incredibly (given the nature of his research) he has not contracted gembond, but the quills sprouting from his spine look rather... crystalline.
