Clan Leader
Named for the river she hatched on the banks of, Styx, from the beginning, was an unorthodox dragon. She was a shadow trickster, yes, but she always left clues that allowed her victims to deduce what she was doing. She was a tiny Fae, yes, but she always identified as a large creature. Most of all, though, her love for the river where she was born was unparalleled. The lair she was born to, despising water yet recognizing its sentimentality to their youngest member, proposed a deal: She could have the River Styx, but only as a part of her own clan. Styx accepted, and it is that challenge, that alone more than anything else in the lands of Sornieth, which drives her.
In the beginning, it was just her. Alone to sit in the dark and do whatever she pleased, but as time went on, she grew lonely.
Then came her first clan member since her exalted mate -- Gild, who crept into the tangled thorns and was embraced by a small clearing on the banks of the river. He wasn’t strong, but he knew of the law and ways of life outside the Shadowbinder's domain. Together they began the creation of the Noxstella clan and the beginning of a deep friendship. They struggled, bickered amongst themselves and quarreled with opposing views, but eventually years had passed, and their little lair of two had grown into a proper clan, nestled deep within the Foxfire Bramble, forever residing by the river where Styx’s adventure began.
