Iracebeth leads the Salazen Grum Faction of Vellinym. The structure the self-titled Queen rules from is an unlikely accumulation of spires and bridges in the Lower Ward, known for its shady characters. The Red Queen covets Mirana's position as Ambassador, and wages a constant and hopeless war to sabotage her younger sister. 		767.png
The Red Queen is well-known for her cruelty and harsh judgments. Iracebeth has a fondness for taking off the heads of those who cross her. Or those who catch her in a bad mood. As a result, most inhabitants of Vellinym steer clear of the Salazen Grum district and its contingent of Red Knights.

Ilosovic Stayne: Arrogant, sadistic and cruel, the Knave delights in destruction and never fails to belittle those he considers beneath him. He has the Red Queen's ear, and thus her authority, and uses it to his advantage whenever he can. The Knave is exceedingly manipulative, at turns flattering and grovelling before those in power in order to curry favor, but he will abandon his alliances without a second thought if the situation seems bleak.

Red Knight: The Queen's enforcers. Their numbers make them a force to be reckoned with, but they're not very bright. They are loyal to the Red Queen mostly out of fear.

Jubjub: A vicious attack bird under the control of the Red Queen. The creature possesses razor-sharp talons and a piercing shriek. Although the Jubjub Bird cannot manage higher thought, it is capable of understanding simple orders. The Red Queen keeps the beast caged in the upper reaches of Salazen Grum and unleashes it to terrorize the citizens and occasionally to apprehend individuals of note.

Jabberwocky: The Jabberwocky stands guard outside Salazen Grum. No one is quite sure how the Red Queen controls such a fearsome creature, but he seems to do her bidding. The mammoth creature harbors a grudge against the Vorpal Sword, which Alice wields.

Having taken vows to harm no living creature, Mirana is peaceful, serene, and kind. She leads the Marmoreal Faction of Vellinym, based in a large castle of the same name in the Upper Ward.

Alice Kingsley: Alice sometimes has difficulty telling dreams from reality. She is the champion of Marmoreal, and it is foretold that she will slay the Jabberwocky.

Thackery Earwicket: Always throwing a tea party, the March Hare is more than a bit off his rocker. This probably accounts for his friendship with the Mad Hatter. He is also a spectacular cook, but his methods are... unorthodox, and his concoctions often end up covering the floor and walls.

Tweedle: More than a little odd, this dragon has a split personality and very odd speech. Alternatively calling herself Dee and Dum, the two personalities are constantly arguing with each other over who is right, which way to go, etc.

Both Dee and Dum agree that a pair of suspenders would be quite nice.

Nivens: Perpetually late, the White Rabbit is a nervous, frantic creature.

The White Rabbit was captured by the Red Queen and served as a Page in her court for a time, but he managed an escape. To this day, the poor thing has nightmares about fetching hedgehogs.
