Wendigo

She shares qualities with dragons and has snakelike qualities as well. A shadowfiend's appearance can lead to misconceptions, as they do look rather primal and dangerous. Their pupil-less eyes are not blind, despite the fact that they may look as if they are. Shadowfiends actually have very good vision and can see well at night as well. Also, depending on gender, there is three small spikes sweeping back from the eye. The males have spikes over the eye and females have them underneath, as is shown on Wendigo. Also noticeable on Wendigo is the spikes. They start on the head and go all the way down the neck and back, all the way to the tip of the tail. These are a threat display, especially on the head and tail. The spikes are more like spines, (not entirely forced to stay in one place, although the bases do not move.) The spikes can rattle and stick up in a vicious crest. Personality-wise, shadowfiends in general are known for having trouble getting along, even with their own kind. They are aggressive and have a more feral side. Despite being civilized and taking human form they still are deadly predators. They hunt prey primarily as a source of food, eating generally a carnivore diet. Shadowfiends can develop a vampire-like lust for blood and can get addicted to its taste. They are not bloodsuckers, however, despite their sharp largest fangs in the front of their jaws. Their fangs are more for a hold on prey or enemy, giving them a death grip like a crocodile, unwilling to let go. If their fangs get broken, another will grow in its place. Their largest front fangs are not for envenoming. They may be snakelike, but they do not have venom. Shadowfiends are also known for developing a huge sweet tooth. This is an odd quality that occurs due to exposure to modern civilized life. Shadowfiends have adapted to eating other food rather than having to always hunt and kill prey themselves. Chocolate is a huge addiction for Wendigo herself.

Trick or Treat:
Grinning as if she may be more than the slightest bit evil, Wendigo hangs from her lair's entrance like some immense draconic bat. Magical flames float around her long, lithe body, and silvery jewelry glitters on her scales, huge sapphires seeming to glitter in the light of the entrance.
"Don't be ssscared...I promise I'm not evil...maybe." Wendigo hisses as she drops to her feet and heads toward her visitor with treats clasped in her claws. As big as she is, her claws don't make a sound as she paces across the stone flooring. She grins maniacally but then winks to let her guest know that she isn't really a monster out to get them. "Happy Halloween." She hisses as she gives the dragon a gift...then seems to vanish without a sound into the recesses of the lair once more.
