Schrrrrrrrrrrrch... The sound of the blade dragging across the ground drove fear into his prey’s soul. Smirking, Krane narrowed his eyes and looked around carefully, his crimson orbs gleaming in the dark. “You know you can’t hide. I’ll always find you...” his raspy voice spoke aloud to the open atmosphere. He could hear the reaction of the terrified dragon in their miss-paced footsteps as they attempted to run from him, but their trot was messy and finicky-like they didn’t know what to do. The panic in the atmosphere was as thick as blood. This made the midnight predator chuckle darkly as he continued along, his nose raised to the air. Smelling, tracking. He closed his eyes, breathed deeply, and just listened. There. His head snapped up and he took off towards where the familiar smell was coming from, his cleaver still scraping itself along the concrete.

He rounded a dark corner and there it was. A petit Fae, shaking and crying, all curled up behind a dumpster. A sad smile crawled across the killer’s face. “Oh, lookit you. You poor, poor thing. This is what happens when you do something you shouldn’t. Do I care what you did? No. All I care about is the kill.” As the final word slipped through his teeth, Krane angled his blade and poised it above the small dragon’s head. The thing was shaking uncontrollably and it’s face covered in tears. He knew he wasn’t supposed to toy with his clients like this, but as long as he killed them and reported back to Headquarters no one asked questions right?

He slowly made eye contact with the creature and smiled maniacally- his fangs glinting through the darkness. “Goodnight” He then swung the weapon down heavily, and death followed.
