Basic Personality

Amaya is known to be cold, distant, but assertive and while she lacks tact and kindness, she is very good at getting others to do what she wants them to do. While she has zero interest in the reproductive process, she believes that all dragons should have children, though respects the choices of those who don't want to. She does care for her children in that she teachs them skills for surviving, and while caring for her mate she does give commands more often than she gives affection. Amaya sends most of her family members to Stormcatcher as interns, believing this is the best life for them. Some of them, the more promising ones, are kept here at the labs and put to work in various jobs.

"Amaya does a good job of keeping other dragons on task. She is good at training familiars for various tasks in smoothing out jobs that dragons either can't or don't want to do, and while she is cold she has a leadership skill. She has great ideas for expirements, and has a good knowledge on scientific theory. Her favorite type of expirementation is hybridization and she does a good job of splicing and the theory behind it."

Self Description

I'm the Chief Administrator of Heartseeker Labs. I started it with my life partner, Korasea, though we weren't like that at the time of startup. I've come a long way in scientific knowledge. My favorite color is green, I like Stranglers, especially my newest familiar, Akeyra. I mainly focus on hybridization and familiar training.

While I identify as asexual, I have many children. The majority have been sent as interns away from the clan to Stormcatcher, and some others have been placed in other clans for basically the same purpose. Sometimes, however, they leave for love. They can be nice to have around, but the main being I love is Korasea.

History

I was originally hatched in a small, unnamed and loosely gathered Nature flight clan. A few weeks after my hatchday, I was traded away to another clan. Even as I child I guess I was never attached to anyone, not even those who hatched me. I quickly began to learn about the world and asked many, many questions--much to the annoyance of the leaders of my new clan.

Another dragon shared my curiosity, Korasea, a Fae who was slightly younger than me as well as smaller. We grew close, and he is likely the only dragon I've ever felt a strong attachment too. As soon as we were old enough and had saved up enough supplies to make the journey, we fled the clan. It was located in the Everbloom Gardens, further inland. We made a journey to the furthest edge of the Viridian Labyrinth and set up a small den. I began performing basic experiments with my boyfriend, mostly on insects, as well as magic, to create strange creatures. We both got better at using their magical abilities.

However, one day a nearby clan--the one we had been trading with--grew angry as they gathered more intel about the experiments, some of which they considered cruel. The clan chased us out of the Viridian Labyrinth, and with no idea where to go, we headed towards the Shifting Expanse. First, we had to cross the water, a hard journey for us tiny Fae, but we did reach the Sunbeam ruins. We had met multiple interesting dragons on the way, but we never shared why we had fled our flight.

As we reached the Shifting Expanse we encountered a Ridgeback by the name of Akeyra (the dragon I named my Strangler after). They were a well-known scientist and were famous for the medicine they had discovered. Akeyra welcomed us to serve as interns for a few weeks in their labs. It went well, and we felt confident enough to set up our own lab.

After many years, we've expanded to be big enough to be self-sustaining in many ways. We still trade with other groups so we can purchase supplies to further our knowledge, mostly revolving around genetics: Dragon and familiar.

Over those years I had multiple children, most of which are now serving a higher purpose with Stormcatcher. I've made multiple successful hybridizations, including watermelon dragons and tree dragons. The fruit came out a bit crystalized for that last one, but it still looks pretty.
