Wald is a member of the Nature flight subspecies Forest Spirit and meets the specific coloration and genetic criteria set forth by the flight/creator.

There’s a tale that nature dragons tell, a whisper of something magical that wanders the lands of the Gladekeeper. They are Her creation, Her touch of mystical wonder, hiding sometimes right beneath one’s nose.

Some say they are born of Her laughter. Others say they are sent out into the Labyrinth to act as guardians of the growth She breaths across the land. No one really knows the truth, but everyone knows they are important and ooze energies of the Gladekeeper.

Finding one isn’t the easiest. Most wont be found until they want to be. They hide expertly and make almost no noise. The only real hint of existence that dragon’s will find is a trail of glowing footprints left behind. They watch carefully, they listen carefully, and when something catches their attention, they will make themselves known.

Forest Spirits are a bit of a mystery to any dragon who has come across one. They are a quiet kind of dragon, one that usually stays hidden unless attracted or lured out, whether it be intentional or not.

These dragons are born of the Gladekeeper Herself. No dragon knows why She sends them, or even if it's true that they are Her creation, but that is how the story always goes. They have small magical abilities, varying in magnitude of power. Some Forest Spirit dragons leave behind glowing, mossy footsteps while some can do as much as grant a single wish periodically.

All Forest Spirits enjoy shiny things. The twinkle of a precious gem or even just a shiny bit of treasure may catch their eyes. A Forest Spirit will always avoid contact with other dragons until something of interest lures them out. Dragons who intend to attract a Forest Spirit can purposefully leave out "offerings" in hopes of someday meeting one. Dragons must be careful, however, of not attracting the wrong kind of attention.

There are two different kinds of Forest Spirit, one being more friendly than the other. The legend goes that if a dragon finds or attracts a Forest Spirit of green color (lawful), then all should be well. These dragons will offer their protection and services to a clan should they feel well inclined and are usually a blessing upon a clan. However, should the Forest Spirit be of dark red or purple (chaotic), ill will may fall upon the dragon's clan who disturbs them. These Forest Spirits are spiteful and tricky. They will often pull pranks, some harmful and some not. A dragon or clan with the attention of these more mischievous Forest Spirits might find that some of their food goes missing or a treasure or two is stolen from their pockets. Despite being inconvenient at times, chaotic Forest Spirits will still offer protection. They become possessive over their new territory and adopt an attitude of being the only "harm" that is allowed to come to their clan.

Forest Spirits who are born of the Gladekeeper are almost always female. Males born of the Gladekeeper are very rare. A male born of mixed dragon parents (one Forest Spirit and one normal) are much more common.
