Aka is a Wind dragon, who is the 2nd born offspring of two Gen 1 Wind parents: a Mirror father, who has gone to serve the Windsinger, and a Guardian mother, who is still protecting her charge in the Wind clan of her birth. Aka's older brother, Bog, has stayed in the Windswept Plateau, while her nest mates have gone to serve the Plaguebringer and the Arcanist. Her youngest sibling has joined the ranks of the Gladekeeper.

Her first mate was a Gen 1 Fae named Tokashiki, and they had a nest of three Wind hatchlings together. They didn't form a long term bond, however, and soon parted ways. Her next mate was Tersen, a mirror dragon with whom she hatched three eggs. Eventually all of her family members chose to leave the Windswept Plateau to explore the world and serve various deities. Aka decided it was finally time to find a new clan as she had few ties left there and still needed to find her charge.

At the start of the new year, she journey south, to The Southern Icefield, where she found a clan that preserved the history of Elder Dragons. While she was welcome there, she soon longed to return to The Windswept Plateau. A few months later, word came to Clan Diamond Dust that a recently formed Wind clan was looking for an Elder Wind Dragon. She petitioned the clan leaders to join them and quickly received word back that she was welcome in their clan. She eagerly packed her belongings and headed back to her homeland, to her new Wind clan...
