Rosamere

Rosamere came to the Zephyr Steppes as a hatchling, an old fae named Masaiyah guiding her. A world away from the Hewn City, the winds of her new home called to her and Rosamere was quite entranced with Magnolia Outpost. Even as new dragons joined and some left, Rosamere wanted nothing more than to protect her home. She was one of the oldest dragons in the lair, outside of the Elder Masaiyah, who is a Fae dragon and too small to defend the Outpost.

She took up samurai armor shortly after she reached her full growth. First, she found the fans that fluttered against her wings (and after a short confliction between the cat-pattern and the flower-pattern fans) and collected the rest of the armor gradually. The armor's pale orange matches her orange opal and her familiar seems to like her increased amount of orange too. Usually, he is a grumpy spiky little fellow but only with her (and much later, her children) does he soften and flutter gently.

As an adult, Rosamere has a fling with her friend Candelaria's fellow healer, Foretold. He was an odd one and she just knew that he had hidden depths. She was attracted to his mystery enough that she settled a nest and three eggs resulted. Her children hatched and in the course of raising them to adulthood and seeing them off on their own adventures around Sornieth, Rosamere and Foretold came to an understanding that they were not suited to each other as mates and separated after their last hatchling left the clan.

Rosamere continued to train, studying the way of the blade and the values that samurai prized. Loyalty and honor.

Later, when the clan moved from the Zephyr Steppes to the Reedcleft Ascent, they renamed themselves the Magnolia Realm, hoping one day to join all the older clans in the Cloudsong, honoring their leader, their Elder Masaiyah.

In this shift, Rosamere noticed their quiet and shy eggsitter Bathor, who was so timid and adorably shy that she took note of him rather quickly. He was trying to reach out, which, considering he had been here for a long while and only now did he truly try, was going almost awful. He was pretty cute though and he was trying genuinely. She coaxed him out of his shell with her own offer of friendship and she was as surprised as him when suddenly feelings of the romantic sort burst out of her chest when she looked at him. He was awkward and horribly shy, but she found herself charmed by that, especially when she gave him a kiss on the nose and he almost fell apart from bashfulness.
