Bathor

Bathor is often seen as a very cold and expressionless dragon. Indeed, even his friend Thalia seemed to think he cared nothing for the eggs they'd accidentally created together, almost heartbroken by his disinterest and he wanted to tell her that that was wrong. He just didn't quite know what to do with others. He was good at eggsitting because of how he always dressed warmly and how he had the very rare (of spirals anyway) ability to stay perfectly still.

Bathor had always felt like an odd one out, content to sit and daydream while his siblings and peers ran amok. While he had lived at the Southern Icefield, he had been suited to being sneaky, his colors matching well. Things felt even a little slower there and spirals were not in abundance, so he hadn't felt quite as much an outsider too. When he came to Magnolia Outpost, spirals were around every corner and Bathor was suddenly confronted with an excess of evidence that he was very odd. He liked to curl up around eggs instead of sweeping into the sky, he liked to read quietly while the others yelled and hooted games and songs, he hid with the Elder Masaiyah when he became overwhelmed and the Elder let him stay with her.

Elder Masaiyah was his mentor as he adjusted to the 'culture shock' of living with other spirals. He has gotten better, though he remains 'standoffish' to others, mostly unintentionally.

After the hatching of his first three children, Bathor felt like he needed to socialize more with his clan. His goal was to make one other friend other than Thalia and Elder Masaiyah. After a bit of bumbling, he was really surprised to find himself growing close to the resident samurai, Rosamere, who was so earnest and sincere that Bathor felt himself falling for her. He melted around her and was very happy when his shy request for him to be his mate was accepted.
