Caligo was born during the dark moon. Her egg was cold to touch and it's coloration was dull. Still, she was born alongside her brother. She was always quiet hatchling, not talking or interacting with other dragons. During moonless nights her eyes and mouth were dripping with pitch black substance and many dragons started to say that Lightweaver herself had cursed her.

As soon as Caligo could fend for herself she left her original clan. She traveled across Sornieth, staying in the shadows and trying to avoid other creatures. From time to time she felt like she would choke when black liquid started to ooze from her eyes and mouth and when ancient unknown words fell from her lips while flashes of strange images flickered through her vision.

She heard the shadows whispering her, telling her terrible things, trying to lure her deeper into The Shade. She could feel The Shade coursing through her veins, trying to find a weak spot and constantly feeding on her magic, trying to grow and take over.

Born into shadows i was,
dark moon,
it accompanied my beginning,
influencing my whole life.
Intended to be Light,
but became Dark,
cursed,
by the diety himself,
without moons light,
the Shade showed in all her might,
eyes dripping with black matter,
oozing down my body,
unknown words,
they were put in my mouth.
I have been shadetouched,
I can feel it,
pulsating in my veins,
the whispers in my ears,
overtaking me as a whole.
But even if it takes me,
I dont go without a fight,
with every last straw i hold,
to my sane self,
And i continue to walk this world,
suppresing the dark growth
That tries to Become inside me.
